Breast Augmentation

Natural results. Personalized care.

Breast augmentation is one of the most popular cosmetic procedures today, and for good reason—it offers women the opportunity to enhance their figure in a way that feels natural, balanced, and in harmony with their personal goals. Whether you want to restore lost volume, improve symmetry, or achieve a fuller look, breast augmentation can be a powerful way to bring confidence and comfort back into your everyday life.

Every woman’s body and goals are unique. Dr. Ryan Constantine will work closely with you to create a surgical plan tailored to your needs. From choosing the ideal implant type and size to selecting the best surgical technique, his focus is always on delivering results that look natural, complement your proportions, and feel right for you.

Who Is a Candidate for Breast Augmentation?

Ideal candidates feel that their breast size or shape does not reflect how they want to look or feel. Whether you desire subtle enhancement or a dramatic change, breast augmentation may be a good option if you:

  • Want to increase breast size or fullness
  • Notice a loss of breast volume after pregnancy, breastfeeding, or weight loss
  • Have asymmetry between your breasts
  • Desire more balanced proportions between your breast and overall figure

As this is a major surgery, candidates should also be in good overall health, non-smokers, and have realistic expectations about what surgery can achieve.

Benefits of Breast Augmentation

While every woman’s experience is personal, many report benefits such as:

  • Improved body balance and proportion: Fuller breasts can help create a more harmonious figure.
  • Increased wardrobe confidence: Many women feel more comfortable in clothing and swimwear after augmentation.
  • Correction of asymmetry: Implants can help balance uneven breasts.
  • Personalized enhancement: With a variety of implant types, sizes, and profiles, results can be customized to your goals.
  • Long-lasting results: Modern implants and surgical methods offer results designed to be both durable and natural-looking.

For many patients, the greatest benefit is the renewed sense of confidence and alignment between how they look and feel.

About the Procedure

Breast augmentation is performed under general anesthesia and usually takes one to two hours. For each breast, Dr. Constantine makes a small incision in a discreet location, places the implant, and carefully shapes the breast to achieve the desired look. After surgery, most patients return home the same day to begin their recovery.

Implant Choices

One of the most important parts of planning breast augmentation is selecting the right implants. There are several choices to make, and Dr. Constantine will guide you through the options to ensure results that look natural and align with your goals.

  • Implant Types: Types include saline (filled with sterile saltwater and offering adjustability and firmness), silicone (known for their soft, natural feel), and Motiva (a new, advanced silicone implant with enhanced safety features and a smooth, flexible surface).
  • Implant Profile: Profile refers to how far the implant projects from the chest wall. Lower profiles have a wider base and less projection, while higher profiles offer a narrower base with greater projection.
  • Implant Size: Size is measured in cubic centimeters. The choice of implant size should also consider how it complements the patient’s natural frame and proportions.
  • Implant Shape: Implants may be round or anatomically shaped, each offering different contouring effects.
  • Implant Surface: Implants are available with smooth or textured surfaces, chosen based on anatomy and surgical goals.

With all these characteristics, breast implants can be tailored to achieve results that look proportional and natural. Dr. Constantine will help you select the combination that will offer the best results based on your anatomy and aesthetic goals.

Surgical Techniques

Breast augmentation may be performed using different incision locations and implant placements:

  • Incision Location: Most incisions are placed either beneath the breast fold (inframammary incision) or around the areola (periareolar incision).
  • Implant Placement: Breast implants may be positioned above the chest muscle (subglandular placement) or partially beneath it (submuscular placement).

The choices of incision location and implant placement are determined by several factors, including the patient’s preferences, implant choice, and anatomy. Dr. Constantine will recommend the techniques that best fit your needs.

Recovery and Healing

Recovery from breast augmentation typically goes as follows:

  • First week: Patients may experience swelling, tightness, and mild discomfort. These can be managed with medication and rest.
  • One to two weeks: Most patients are recovered enough to return to light activities and work (depending on job type).
  • Two to six weeks: Patients may gradually return to exercise and more active routines.
  • Two to six months: As swelling resolves and implants settle, the final results will become visible.

Dr. Constantine provides detailed post-operative instructions and follow-up care to ensure optimal healing and long-lasting results.
